WHAT IS THERAPY?
Therapy isn’t only for people with acute mental health challenges or people suffering tragic circumstances. It’s a unique opportunity in life to build a relationship with someone who has no vested interest in who you are or what you do; the only agenda is that you grow into the best possible version of yourself, whatever that looks like for you and your soul’s deepest callings. It is a relationship dedicated entirely to your own wellbeing, personal growth, and psycho-spiritual fulfillment.

Research suggests that the single best predictor of a positive outcome from psychotherapy is the quality of relationship between client and therapist - the therapeutic alliance. That means if our personalities are a good match and we’re both committed to the therapeutic work, the odds of achieving the changes you’re hoping for are in our favor.
To see if we will be a good match at no cost to you, I offer a FREE 15-minute phone consultation for all new clients.
If you’re like most people, you’re seeking a therapist because something in your life is becoming unmanageable; you don’t know what the solution is, and you’re hoping to find it.
Our work together starts by searching for the roots of the problem at hand and collaborating on a plan to start working through them. We’ll put out the most pressing fires first and develop the skills to help manage symptoms along the way.
I offer a safe, empathetic, and confidential atmosphere where you can express yourself freely and explore your deepest thoughts, feelings, desires, and motivations without fear of judgement.
Everyone needs to feel like they are understood, and while emotional validation is important, making healthy changes often requires confrontation and accountability. People thrive when they are optimally challenged, and that will be our aim together.
Jungian psychology recognizes that there is more to the psyche than the personality structures of our conscious awareness. Far more expansive is the unconscious - that which contains the parts of ourselves we have either repressed or have yet to become aware of.
Symptoms like anxiety or depression are seen not as pathological but as attempts by the psyche to regulate and heal itself. Instead of fixing the symptom, the focus is on trying to understand what the psyche is trying to convey to the conscious personality through the symptomatology. As the contents of the unconscious come to light, the personality evolves and symptoms resolve.
In essence, Jungian therapy is a long-term journey of psycho-spiritual transformation, a process of shedding the inauthentic or conditioned parts of ourself and discovering and embracing our deeper authentic nature, the core values and meaning that drive our lives and give us a sense of purpose.
